Tunis - An armed group has kidnapped two Tunisians working at a construction site in Cameroon, the North African country's foreign ministry said on Monday.

"A crisis unit has been set up at the ministry" which has been in contact with the Cameroonian authorities "to work for the release of the kidnapped Tunisians as soon as possible," the ministry said in a statement.

The two Tunisians were abducted "by an armed group in the southwest of Cameroon on March 15," the ministry added.
