Peace committee meeting held in view of Ramnavami

A peace committee meeting was organised on Sunday at Bokaro Thermal police station premises under the guidance of CO MN Mansuri and  Officer-in charge cum Inspector prameshwar Leyangi. On the occasion, more than hundred people of the town and its surrounding areas including Zila parishad, Bharat Yadav, Social activist Jogendra Giri, Hansraj Prasad, SB Singh and other mukhiyas of different panchayat, attended the meeting.

The members of peace committee told to remain alert during the festivals and keep in constant touch with the local police.

Festival of Ramnavami is to be celebrated on March 25. They were also asked not to panic over rumors and other precautions. Steps which need to be taken were also discussed during the meeting. During the procession tight vigil would be kept and feelings of other religious groups would be kept into mind.

 

At the time of procession, all Akhara members should be alert, said the officer. Bokaro Thermal has been divided into 15 zones while 5 Akharas would take out procession in Kathara area. Bokaro SP Kartik S also instructed to ensure that even small incidents be handled with utmost seriousness to ensure any potential law and order crisis is timely and effectively dealt with.
