A bag carrying Rs 2.5 lakh was stolen from a Sehore-based man near Cancer hospital under Shahjehanabad police station area on Saturday.
The victim Narayan Singh came to Bhopal to buy Buffalo with Rs 2.5 lakh cash and when he was waiting two persons approached him and escaped with the cash.
In his complaint victim stated that he came to the city to buy Buffalo and when he was near Cancer hospital two persons who were scheduled to sell Buffalo came and one of them took the bag which was kept over victim’s vehicle and when victim tried to chase him, other man also fled the spot.
The police have registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a car and Rs 50000 were burgled from Bharat Nagar under Piplani police station area on Saturday.
Police said that victim Santosh Lal’s house was targeted by the miscreants and jewelry and cash were burgled.
A complaint was lodged with the Piplani police and in his complaint the victim stated that he had gone to Delhi on March 14 and when he returned on Saturday he found that his Tata Indica car was missing and lock of the door was found broken. On entering the house he found that Rs 50000 cash was burgled.
The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and started further investigation.
The victim runs a shop in Indrapuri and visits Delhi and other cities for business purpose. Police suspects that the miscreants were aware of the whereabouts which helped in the burglary.
During the investigation domestic help and security guard would be questioned and CCTV cameras installed would be investigated.
