New Delhi:  Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has apologized to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for "making unverified allegations" against him, days after his "sorry" to former Punjab minister Bikram Singh Majithia.

Sources say the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief is looking at closing all 33 defamation cases against him and is aiming to do away with them through out of court settlements.

In his note to Nitin Gadkari, Mr Kejriwal wrote:,"I have nothing personal against you. I regret the same. Let us put the incident behind us&bring the court proceedings to a closure."

Tangled up in defamation cases, the Chief Minister is already in trouble with a section of his party for apologizing to Bikram Majithia, an Akali Dal leader.

AAP lawmaker Bhagwant Mann last week quit as the party's Punjab unit chief in protest and so did three others.
