Mumbai: Five-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Thane, security guard arrested

Mumbai: A five-year old girl from Bhandup was kidnapped and sexually assaulted by security guard at an isolated place in Thane on Friday. The Kapurbawdi cops have detained the accused on Monday for abducting and raping a minor.

The culprit has been found as Suman Jha. He made attempt to deceive the girl with an ice cream when she was playing outside her home. The cops stated that the culprit tried to influence the girl to go with him to Thane in an auto rickshaw. When they arrived at Majiwada, the accused took the minor to Khanna compound in Azad Nagar.

“The culprit took the girl to the structure, raped her and then rushed from the area. We detained him in the crime,” Sunil Lokhande, deputy commissioner of police, zone 5 stated.

After the incident, a man saw her crying in soreness and asked the victim about her problem. Later, he took her to the police station to lodge case. Then, they had gone to the hospital for medical treatment.

The minor disclosed that that she is a native of Bhandup.
