Ford Ecosport Titanium+ manual petrol variant launched in India at INR 10.47 lakhs

Ford India in addition to the existing lineup of the Ecosport has added a new top-spec variant to its petrol model in the Indian market. The new 2018 Ford EcoSport Titanium+ petrol with a manual gearbox is priced at Rs 10.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Rahul Gautam, vice president marketing at Ford India, says that the introduction of the new variant comes on the back of customer demand for a fully loaded petrol manual model. The introduction of the Ford EcoSport Titanium+ Petrol MT also helps bridge the massive price gap between the Titanium Petrol MT (INR 9.51 lakhs) and Titanium+ Petrol AT (INR 11.31 lakhs).

In the Titanium+ spec, additional features over the Titanium grade include 17-inch alloy wheels and 6 airbags. Other notable features on offer are projector headlamps, LED DRLs, 8-inch touchscreen for the SYNC3 infotainment setup, tyre pressure monitor, cruise control, reverse parking camera, automatic headlamps and more.

The recently updated EcoSport SUV for India comes with a new 1.5-litre petrol ‘Dragon’ engine. The three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill produces 123hp at 6,500rpm and 150Nm at 4,500rpm and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Ford also sells the same engine mated to a six-speed torque-convertor automatic equipped with paddle shifts.

As far as equipment goes, the new 2018 Ford EcoSport petrol comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, cruise control, Ford’s Sync3 infotainment system with reverse camera, voice commands, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional safety features include six airbags, ABS, EBD and Isofix anchors as well.
