Before Season 8B of The Walking Dead premiered, executive producer/walker whisperer Greg Nicotero teased that the half-season would feature an appearance by the series' first naked zombie. Fans were like "hm, I didn't think I wanted to see that, but now that I know it's coming, I'm definitely interested and I hope it's really disturbing."

Well, in Sunday's Nicotero-directed episode "The Key," the nude zombie made its much-anticipated appearance, and it was... disappointing. Underwhelming. Much ado about nothing.

The walker was in the background of a scene where Simon (Steven Ogg) and Dwight (Austin Amelio) were looking for Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and unless you were watching closely on a high-def television, you may not have noticed that the walker was sans pants.

Nicotero posted a full-body shot of the mostly-rotted fellow on his Instagram, and, well, he's missing something...

Always indebted to the amazing folks at KNB and my on set crew @crognalegino @wasnerkevin @somemonsterism @jagar65 when I ask for stuff like this guy....girl ???! #twd

Listen, if you're gonna show a fully-nude walker, commit to it, standards and practices be damned. I said it once and I'll say it again: show me some zombenis!

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9/8c on AMC.
