Premier League table: Every team compared to last season after Gameweek 31

PREMIER LEAGUE competition is heating up after a short round of games led to huge drama in the top flight.

Liverpool continued to pile the pressure on the top sides with a convincing 5-0 demolition of Watford at Anfield yesterday.

Jurgen Klopp has overseen an improvement on last season – even without Philippe Coutinho – as Mohamed Salah has taken centre stage.

They're not the only side to rise from their points total at the same stage last season, with both Manchester United and Manchester City building on 16/17.

Newcastle and Burnley are among the lower sides to greatly improve on their last Premier League seasons though Everton and Chelsea fans will not be happy with their sharp declines.

Take a look through the gallery above to see the difference in each Premier League team’s points tally compared to Gameweek 31 last season.
