The Kiwanis Club of Alma “Student of the Month” for March is Hazen Latoski, son of Jennifer Mallery, and under the guardianship of Zack and Becky Everitt. He has taken various AP and honors classes, as well as dual enrolling at Alma College. He has played basketball all four years of high school, two of those years on Varsity. He is also a recipient of the Scholar Athlete Award. Latoski volunteered for the Youth for Christ organization this past fall, and would like to continue working with youth programs after high school.

Latoski will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall on a full-ride scholarship. He plans to enroll in their actuarial science program, as he has always been fascinated with mathematics. He also plans to seek an internship in the Ann Arbor area to prepare him for a career after college. Latoski is thankful for having friends and family who have supported him throughout his life, and who will continue to support him as he journeys to college.
