India beat Bangladesh by four wickets on the last ball of the match to lift the Nidahas Trophy in Colombo on Sunday.
Rohit Sharma's men rode on a whirlwind 8-ball 29 from Dinesh Karthik to win the match and clinch the title.
Karthik, who hit two fours and three sixes, smashed a six off extra-cover on the last ball of the match to win the game for India. And his captain was all praise for the Tamil Nadu man.
"Very happy for DK. I want one of the experienced campaigners to stay at the end - that's why I held DK back," said Rohit.

This victory showed the character of this young Indian team. Missing key players like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit's men showed that they can do it when called upon -- especially after a defeat in the first game to Sri Lanka. Talking about the series, Rohit said:
"Great tournament for us. Young bunch of lads - lot of learning, we always knew they had lot of talent; it was just about coming here and executing."
"This tournament win will give them lot of confidence going forward whenever they play for India and wherever they play. Everybody who came and got opportunities stepped in, they showed lot of character and these are high-pressure games and it isn't easy and we understand that," Rohit added.

The Mumbaikar also said that it was not difficult to lead these kids as he has played with them before.
"Quite easy to lead them, played with most of them. Lots of work has been done off the field in terms of planning, strategy and things like that."
The game was up for a tense finish as India needed 34 runs off two overs after Mustafizur Rahman just gave away just 1 run and got the all important wicket of Manish Pandey to turn the tide in Bangladesh's favour.
However, Karthik had other plans. He came and bashed 19 runs off Rubel Hossain's over and then hit a six off the last ball over the covers to finish the game off in style and hand India a victory to send the crowd in a state of euphoria.
"Brilliant for the crowd who came out in numbers, on behalf of my team, would want to thank the Sri Lankan crowd for coming out and supporting the way they did," thanked Rohit before signing off.
