Cristiano Ronaldo knows Paul Pogba is 'willing to lower salary' to join Real Madrid

Pogba has struggled to justify the £89m fee that took him back to United from Juventus in the summer of 2016.

And over the past month speculation has swirled that the midfielder has fallen out with Old Trafford gaffer Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho left Pogba out of his starting XI for last night’s FA Cup quarter-final win over Brighton, despite the 25-year-old being fit to play.

And the latest reports from Spain suggest Ronaldo has got wind of Pogba being keen to leave United when the transfer window reopens.

According to Don Balon, Ronaldo is well aware that the prospect of playing for Real excites footballers.

And the notion of rocking up at the Bernabeu has apparently led to Pogba making it clear he’d do anything to join Real.

Pogba is said to have made it clear that he would be happy to reduce his wage demands to swap the Premier League for La Liga.

Don Balon indicate Pogba is very unlikely to see his wish granted though because Real do not want or need him.

Pogba is not the only player who Ronaldo  supposedly knows has let Real know they’d be 'willing to lower their salaries to wear white'.

It is claimed that Robert Lewandowski is prepared to do everything he can to secure a summer move to Real.

The Bayern Munich hitman allegedly believes this year will be his last chance to join Real.

However, Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi are currently above him on Real’s list of striker targets.
