The Aluva West Police on Saturday arrested two youths on the charge of chain snatching. The arrested are 19-year old Akshay and Akhilan, both natives of Karumaloor.
The accused had approached a passer-by on a two-wheeler near the Settlement Higher Secondary School near Aluva and fled on a two-wheeler after snatching his gold chain weighing 3.5 sovereigns. The accused were produced before a magistrate and remanded in custody.
