A class 12 girl student committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Kalpana Nagar under Piplani police station area on Friday.
The deceased Meril was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. On Friday after her father went to work in Govindpura Industrial Area, the deceased committed suicide.
During the investigation police found that deceased’s Physics final examination of class 12 went bad on March 12 and due to which she was depressed. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered.
Meanwhile, Gautam Nagar police have booked husband and in-laws of a 23-year-old married woman who committed suicide at February 16 after being allegedly harassed for dowry by husband and in-laws at Nariyalkheda.
Police said that the deceased Monika Parihar was harassed by her husband Dileep Singh Parihar and his family members.
The family members of the deceased have claimed that when the deceased reported that she was harassed by the family demanding dowry they intervened and requested to stop harassing their daughter but the accused continued to harass which resulted in deceased’s taking extreme step.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
During the investigation after it was found that the husband and his family members were involved in harassing deceased demanding dowry a case under section 304 B of the IPC was registered against husband Dileep, mother-in-law Gaytr0i, sister-in-laws Aarti and Pooja and brother-in-law Nandoi Prashant.
