Edward "Ed" Lee Lindsey Edward "Ed" Lee Lindsey, 46, of Louisville, Ky., went to join his father and Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Ed was born in Evansville, Ind., on July 30, 1971, to the late Orville Lee Lindsey and Mary Irene Thompson Lindsey. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Olivia Thompson; and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Morbrey Lindsey. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lindsey of Lynchburg, Va.; son, Charles Lee Lindsey of Denver, Colo.; sister, Angie and her husband, Eddie Greenway, of Lynchburg, Va.; niece, Geri Greenway of Lynchburg, Va.; an uncle, aunts and many cousins; long time friend, Chad Tennant of Garner, N.C.; and many friends. Ed graduated from Brookville High School in 1989 and CVCC in 1991. He worked at Alliance Industrial prior moving to Louisville in 1998. He has worked at Morris Deli & Catering on Taylorsville Rd. for 20 years which is his extended family. Ed was known for his smile, wit and humor, and story telling. He had returned to his love of LEGOs in 2012. He also enjoyed NASCAR, going to Walt Disney World, being an avid reader, and most recently visiting his son in Denver. He received this past December his 5 year token from AA, of which he, his family and friends have been so proud. A "Celebration of Life" is planned at Highlands Funeral Home on Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. The family invites you to come by and reminisce with them. There will be a second celebration on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Mead Memorial United Methodist Church from 4 to 7 p.m. in Lynchburg. In lieu of flowers, Charles suggests a memorial contribution to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall Street, 29th Floor, New York, NY 10005. His mother, son, and sister want to express the most sincere thanks to the family members and many friends for the love and prayers shown to them this past week that is so overwhelming.
