A beloved former track and field coach for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies Athletics team will be remembered during a memorial on campus Sunday.
Lyle Sanderson died at the age of 79 last month in Mexico.
A memorial to mark his career and lasting influence will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the university's Physical Activity Centre.
Sanderson led the U of S Huskies to 33 Canada West titles and 10 national championships, including the Huskies' first-ever national title in 1968.
He also won the Colb McEown Trophy as the university's coach of the year 10 times.

Jason Reindl, the current head coach of the Huskies track and field and cross country team, competed under Sanderson's tutelage when he was 18.
He fondly recalled Sanderson as a "silent coach."
"He wouldn't yell, he wouldn't scream, but when he would say something to me, it spoke volumes," said Reindl.
"And really that was, given my age and coming at the end his career, that was the most humbling experience for myself as coach.
"Sometimes it's not about quantity, it's all about the quality of what he's saying."
Reindl met with Sanderson four times to receive coaching advice.
"I thought there might be a lot more of those," he said. "But life has other decisions."
