Haryana Urban Local Bodies Department has made it mandatory to link beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) with internet based geo-tagging.
For this, one-day training programme was organised to impart training to supervisors engaged for this purpose, said a spokesman of the Department.
He said that the Department has given the responsibility of supervisor to building inspector, municipal engineer and junior engineer level officers.
If beneficiaries are willing to avail benefits of PMAY, they have to give information of construction process in five phases and it would be mandatory to upload this information on Bhuvan web portal with the assistance of supervisor. These five phases include ground level (land and foundation), plinth phase, lintel level phase, roof phase and completion phase. The payment would be made to beneficiaries according to these phases, he added.
The spokesman said that after completion of each phase, the supervisor would click pictures of work completed with geo-tagging system and upload it on Bhuvan web portal.
Initially, payment would be made to beneficiaries in two installments. The first installment would be of Rsone lakh which would be given on the completion of plinth phase and second installment of Rs one lakh would be given on completion of roof phase. Both the installments would be issued only after completion of geo-tagging with photos, he said.
An amount of Rs50,000 would be given after completion of construction and geo-tagging with photos. Municipality, State Government or Central Government can check the progress of construction work anytime as per the information uploaded on the portal, added he.
