A Hamilton police officer has minor injuries after police say a suspected drunk driver ran over his foot.
The officer stopped a driver at 2:50 a.m. around Nash Road North and Nugent Drive, says Staff Sgt. Michelle Wiley.
The officer administered a breath test, which the driver failed, Wiley says.
A "struggle ensued" and the driver ran back to his vehicle with the officer in pursuit.
The driver drove away, hitting the officer's hand and running over his foot, she says.
The driver was found later and arrested.
