In a horrifying incident, dancing in a wedding cost a married woman her life in Basanti, situated at South 24 Pargana of West Bengal.

According to Zee 24 Ghanta report, Sapna, 18, who recently got married to Subir Nashkar, a resident of Charabidya village in Basanti, was found dead under suspicious circumstances after getting into a heated argument with her husband and mother-in-law for dancing at a wedding.

On Saturday, Sapna along with her husband had gone to a relative's house to attend a wedding where she reportedly danced to her heart's content, which left her husband fuming.

Reportedly, Subir wasn't happy seeing his wife dancing at the wedding with strangers, which led to a heated argument between the two that continued even after the two had returned home.

Subir's mother too was furious over Sapna. Later, on Saturday, Sapna's body was found hanging from the ceiling. According to Zee 24 Ghant report, locals allege that Sapna didn't commit suicide and was murdered by Subir and his family members. Sapna's family has alleged that right after her marriage, she was being harassed by Subir and his family with a demand for gold and money.

Sapna's family members have filed a complaint and the police have arrested Subir and his mother.
