Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Saturday said that the previous governments indulged in the business of illegally acquiring lands with ulterior motives and with the intent of having their own cut.
“This was done not only in Rohtak but in the entire state. Their illegal and corrupt ways of going about land acquisition are now coming to recoil on them and are adding to their woes,” said he while speaking after laying the foundation stone of the elevated railway track at Patel Nagar in Rohtak.
The Chief Minister said the present State Government had dedicated this project to the people of Rohtak by utilising the land which had already been used.
The priority of the State Government is to provide maximum facilities to the people by implementing projects involving vertical expansion and less use of land. Exemplary works are being done in the field of water conservation and environment, he added.
Manohar Lal said that the picture of development of Rohtak, which was being presented during the tenure of previous governments, has now become clearly visible to people.
