PEDRO has urged his team-mates to fight until the end of the season after securing Chelsea’s place in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Pedro wheels away after scoring Chelsea's winner against Leicester

Chelsea, who currently sit fifth in the Premier League table and crashed out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage, beat Leicester City thanks to Pedro’s extra-time header.

Jamie Vardy’s 76th-minute goal cancelled out Alvaro Morata’s first-half effort to send the game into an additional 30 minutes.

Pedro admits are in a “difficult situation” amid speculation that head coach Antonio Conte will leave at the end of the season.

But the Spaniard is determined to finish a troubled campaign on a high by winning the FA Cup and finishing in the top four.

“It was a very difficult game,” he said. “It was good for me to score for my confidence and to get to the next round.

“It was hard to find the pass in between the lines. Leicester defended very well and pressed high. It is difficult to win against this team.

“The most important thing for us was the teamwork and to make it through to the next round.

Chelsea forward Pedro

“We have to fight in the next few games. It is a difficult situation for us in the league but we have to fight.

“We have a good opportunity to go to the final and fight for a place in the top four. But now is the moment to relax and enjoy this win.”

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante was pleased to progress and is determined to lift the FA Cup in May.

“I think played very well,” he said. “It was important for us to win that.

“It is the only title we can have this season and we have to fight to the end.”

Pedro celebrates his winner

Leicester boss Claude Puel feels his side should be heading to Wembley instead of Chelsea.

“I’m a bit upset at the moment because I think we deserved another result,” he said.

“They found a good clinical edge. Morata's goal was the only chance of the first half, it was harsh to concede just before half-time but we came back with more calm and more quality.

“I’m proud of my players because it was a game with a high level against a good team. We improved and we deserve another result.”

Kasper Schmeichel blundered for Pedro’s winning goal but Puel refused to throw his No 1 under the bus.

He said: “I think since the beginning Kasper has been a fantastic goalkeeper.

“In goal there is always a mistake but he has been fantastic.

“I can't say anything wrong about him - he's a fantastic keeper.”

Chelsea have been drawn to face Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals.
