David Holtgrave, a nationally recognized HIV researcher with a focus on addressing public health challenges and ensuring care and stable housing for people living with HIV, joined as dean of the School of Public Health. Holtgrave is the former chair of the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at Johns Hopkins University.

William Peterson joined the executive management team as vice president of risk management and chief information security officer. Peterson has more than two decades of experience researching and implementing banking security practices and guiding financial institutions through digital transformations.

Heather Chase joined as an addictions counselor in the methadone maintenance treatment program. Chase will provide screenings, evaluations and assessments as well as develop individualized treatment plans.
Kristin Fralick joined as RN care coordinator. Fralick will provide a professional nursing practice to help patients manage their health through chronic disease management, wellness promotion and early detection.

Jennifer M. Boll was named to the management committee. The eight-member committee monitors the firm's performance and provides overall long-range planning and strategy.

Bradley J. Stevens joined as an associate in the general liability practice group, practicing in Albany and Buffalo. Stevens, who defends insured businesses, municipalities and individuals in a variety of complex liability matters in state and federal courts, previously worked at Lemire, Johnson & Higgins LLC.

Sarah J. Burger joined as chair of the new labor and employment law practice. Burger, who will work out of the Saratoga Springs office, was previously in private practice for several years and served as the first female city attorney of Saratoga Springs.

Lauren Paulsen joined the water/wastewater group as an engineer I in the Albany office. Paulsen, who worked over the summer as an intern, previously served as a transportation construction inspector for the New York state Department of Transportation.
