Darwin, the capital city of the Northern Territory of Australia, has been struck with heavy winds and rain as tropical Cyclone Marcus moves in.
Winds of up to 130km/h have caused trees to fall and power lines and water supplies to be shut down.
The tropical storm hit the city just before midday on Saturday and persisted for more than six hours.
Flooding and heavy rainfall are now expected in Australia’s Top End and Kimberley areas.
