Home guards held taking Rs 500 bribe

Vadodara: Two home guards posted at Padra police station were nabbed in a trap laid by anti-corruption bureau (ACB) and another has been declared as wanted on Friday. The ACB had received a complaint about the three accused identified as Ajit Parmar, Bharat Patel and Kiran Solanki from a truck driver. Police said that the trio was collecting Rs 500 illegally from each heavy vehicle passing by Munjpur check post under the jurisdiction of Padra police station.While Parmar and Patel were caught red-handed, Solanki is on run, the police said.tnn
