Pedestrian dies after being hit by a vehicle on Higgins Avenue

The man involved in Friday night’s accident at the intersection of Higgins Avenue and Argyle Street has died, according to Winnipeg police.
Police said on Saturday morning that the man, who was in his 50s, was struck around 5:45 p.m. Friday.
The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

During the investigation police closed Higgins in both directions between Waterfront Drive and Argyle Street.
The investigation is ongoing and the Traffic Unit is urging anyone with more information about the collision to contact them at 204-986-6271.
