Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party seems to be moving fast on its political game plan. Without wasting much time after his aggressive public meet in Amaravati, Mr. Pawan Kalyan is preparing a blueprint for a novel manifesto which is scheduled to be released on August 14.
Jana Sena is busy in district-wise study concerning both Telugu States -- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana -- with an objective to fix long-pending issues, according to a source close to the party. “The party is barnstorming on core and long- pending issues in both Telugu States. Besides floating an inclusive agenda, special emphasis will be laid on long-pending problems in districts. It will be a solution-based manifesto,” says the source.
Key issues
Key issues among the highlights in the manifesto are a policy for the poorest of the 30 backward classes, the poor in the forward castes, Journalist Protection Law on the lines of the one in place in Maharashtra, special measures to enhance the employability and entrepreneurship among the youth. A novel policy for farmers will also be one among the focused areas.
Problems concerning women protection, youth, the aged and the differently abled will be given special attention in the manifesto. Some of the issues in the districts that might see the light in the manifesto are the flouride issue in Nalgonda, weavers’ problems in Mangalagiri, Sircilla and other places in A.P. and Telangana, issues of handicraftsmen, problems of kidney patients in Uddanam in Srikakulam district, drinking water and irrigation issues in Rayalaseema and other regions, linking of rivers and other water projects and protection of forests, environment, mines and minerals, according to sources.
