The Voice UK 2018: Paloma Faith reveals ONE thing which sets show apart from X Factor
PALOMA FAITH, who was a coach on The Voice UK back when it aired on BBC One, has spoken out about what sets The X Factor apart from the ITV singing competition in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.
Paloma Faith appeared as a coach on The Voice UK back in 2016, but quit the then-BBC show after just one series.
The 36-year-old has now opened up about what she thinks makes the ITV show different from its rival, The X Factor.
Speaking about the difference in long-term success of the show’s contestants, she told Express.co.uk: “I think it’s Simon Cowell.
“He’s a b****y determined man. He is a high-achiever by nature and he believes that he wouldn’t ever do anything that wasn’t a success.”

The Lullaby hitmaker continued: “He’ll do everything he has to to make it a success, and there’s no one person doing that on The Voice – there’s no one person saying, ‘I am determined to make sure this, you know’."
Expanding on the claim, she went on: “Everybody else on The Voice has their own personal career whereas Simon’s career is to make other people’s careers. That’s his career.”
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for The Voice UK asking for comment.
Paloma went on to admit that she understood The Voice UK to be a “brief training in the industry”.

It came as Paloma Faith revealed exclusively to Express.co.uk that viewers could see her return to The Voice UK in the future.
But, the star admitted that while she wouldn’t rule the idea out altogether, she didn’t have any immediate plans to reprise her role as a coach.
Paloma Faith also hit back at the backlash she faced at the BRIT Awards last month, which saw Twitter viewers brand the singer “fake”.
Admitting that she’d anticipated the camera panning to her, she said: “I feel like everyone’s always looking for the reaction of the person who didn’t win.”

The singer songwriter, who is championing ŠKODA’s Driver’s Seat Initiative in partnership with the Prince’s Trust, also explained why she got involved in the campaign.
She stated: “I want to cultivate talent that spreads across communities, and what we’re doing with this is trying to make sure that there’s an element to who we’re working with that will then infiltrate across their own community.”
Applications for the Driver’s Seat Initiative are now open, and entrants can find out more here.
The Voice UK continues tonight on ITV at 8.30pm.
