A 38-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain at Sector- A under Shahpura police station area late in the evening on Thursday.
According to the police, the victim Lalita Verma was on her way after work and was attacked by two bike borne miscreants and snatched the gold chain she was wearing.
A complaint was lodged with the police by the victim. In the complaint the victim claimed that the two bike borne miscreants in the age group of 25-30 years appeared and attacked her and escaped with the gold chain she was wearing. She raised alarm but before she could be helped the miscreants managed to escape the spot. The victim was not able to notice the registration number of the bike as the miscreants escaped the spot at a fast very speed.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
The victim is a resident of Chhawni, Shahpura work as a maid and was on her way to home after completing work and when she reached near house 262 of Sector A the miscreants snatched the gold chain she was wearing.
Police said that the victim has claimed that the robbed gold chain was worth Rs 5000.
During the further investigation police would investigate CCTV cameras installed in the nearby areas which would help in the nabbing the accused. The area remains deserted late in the evening which provided easy escape for the miscreants.
