Perth pedestrian in hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by car

A Perth pedestrian was rushed to hospital on Friday night after being struck by a car while crossing a road.

The incident happened in Bassendean just before 7:30pm on Railway Parade near First Avenue.

Police said a Lexus sedan travelling south-west collided with a pedestrian that was crossing the road, heading towards Bassendean Train Station.

A 25-year-old man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital's State Trauma Unit with head injuries.
