‘Drunk’ person startles CM’s convoy

A ‘drunk’ man created a flutter when he tried to run across Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s convoy at Karkhana on Friday.

Thirty-five-year-old Balaji, who came close to the convoy, was intercepted by the policemen in the nick of time and detained. “He works at a tiffin centre and had consumed liquor along with his friend Yakaiah in the afternoon,” Karkhana Inspector Janaiah said.

The CM’s convoy was heading from Trimulgherry to Karkhana towards Pragathi Bhavan when the incident occurred. A drunk Yakaiah picked up argument with the police over detention of his friend. A petty case was booked against both of them.
