Minister Catherine Byrne promotes Ireland in Denmark

Tourism Ireland has a busy programme of activity under way this year to grow visitor numbers from the Nordic countries, including co-operative promotions with leading tour operators like Airtours Sweden, Albatros Travel, Thomas Cook and Stena Line Travel Group and with top Swedish golf tour operators. The organisation’s publicity programme in the Nordics will generate positive coverage for the island of Ireland this year worth more than €4 million. Tourism Ireland is also promoting Ireland via social media to around 98,000 Facebook fans and to around 4,500 Nordic followers on Twitter.
