Kundan Kumar wins Hiranandani Memorial Rolling Trophy

Commander of won the prestigious GM Hiranandani Memorial Rolling Trophy.

The award was instituted for the best performance during the year-long Naval Warfare Specialisation Courses conducted by the (SNC) for undergoing different specialisations.

The were assessed by a Board of from (Kochi) under the aegis of its Director, NAJ Joseph, a Defence release said here today.

The trophy was presented by Vice AR Karve, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, during the ceremony held at here.

Susheel Hiranandani, wife of late Vice GM Hiranandani in whose memory the award has been instituted, graced the occasion.

Manick Hiranandani, son of the late Admiral, was also present.

The GM Hiranandani Memorial Rolling Trophy was instituted in the year 2013 in memory of the late Admiral, who retired as the of the in 1989 and had served as the Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command.

Book prizes were also awarded to Commander I Deosthalee for standing second, Commander NJ Prabhune and Commander for standing joint third and to Commanders Arul Avinash, Prabhat Pankaj and SN Ubale for their commendable performance in the (i.e. viva), the release added.
