The State Government is committed to establishing arrangement of distribution of nutritious food through Self Help Groups (SHG) and would provide technical and financial support to the federation of SHGs, said Madhya Pradesh Woman and Child Development (WCD) Minister Archana Chitnis during discussion of budgetary demands.
Continuous efforts resulted into concrete work which is witnessed in the form of improved level of nutrition level among children and women in the state.
Taking the challenge of malnutrition, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan started special weighing campaign was conducted in December 2017 which was aimed to identify the children affected from malnutrition and 6585303 children were weighed and to address the issue of malnutrition special nutritious campaign was started. For generating interest and enthusiasm among the employee and officials for the campaign cash reward of Rs 5000 to Rs 50000 were presented.
For strengthening of Anganwadi, Anganwadi help desk has been established having a toll free number 18008330100 which is meant for suggestions and complaints.
More than 28 lakh girls have been registered under Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Under Matra Vandana Yojana state leads the country as out of 320755 applicants, 85296 applicants have been paid around Rs 10.75 crore.
In Samekit Bal Sangrakshan Yojana 3500 children have been benefitted.
At the end, the budgetary demands of Rs 4835.83 crore of her departments were passed in the House by voice vote.
