Heavy rains accompanied by gusty winds lashed Chitradurga on Thursday night. All major roads were flooded and water entered into several low lying areas.
According to official sources, Chitradurga received 38 mm rainfall, Challakere 5.4 mm, Hiriyur 29.2 mm and Holalkere taluk received 10.2 mm rainfall.
Traffic on all major roads was affected and power supply was also disrupted through the night in many areas. No loss of property was reported.
