The death toll in the Kabul bomb blast has risen to three. A Taliban suicide car bomber detonated explosives near a compound for foreign security contractors during rush hour this morning.
Interior ministry spokesperson Najid Danish told Al Jazeera that at least three civilians were killed and two others wounded, in the explosion in District Nine.
The attack comes days after General John Nicholson, the top US commander in Afghanistan, said that the security of the country would be the main effort for international forces helping Afghan security forces.
