SISTec’s ‘Nirmaan2k18’ underway

Sagar Institute of Science and Technology (SISTec), Department of Mechanical Engineering, commenced its two-day National Level Working Model Competition ‘Nirmaan2k18’.

The competition is organized in association with SISTec Mechanical Engineers Association (SME) and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE, India). This is the sixth successive year of ‘Nirmaan2k18’ in a row by SISTec attracting participation of institutions from various states.

‘Nirmaan2k18’ commenced by seeking blessings of ‘Maa Saraswati’ and lighting of ceremonial lamp by Esteemed chief guest Rajendra Shukla, Minister, Mineral Resources, Commerce, Industry and Employment, Overseas Indian, Government of Madhya Pradesh along with Sadashiv Boargoankar Founder Director-ACTSol and Associates, Gulbarga University, Karnataka, Guest of Honor in presence of Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, Chairman, Sagar Group, Siddharth Agrawal, Managing Director,  Sagar Group, Amit Johri, Chief General Manager, Sagar Group, Jayshree Kanwar, Principal, Sagar Public School, Swati Saxena, Vice Principal, SISTec followed by floral welcome.  Dr Abhishek Tripathi, HOD, SISTec School of Management Studies, Dr Kulpeep Ganju Principal SIPTec, BS Khushwah, Sr Administrator SISTec,  Governing Members of SISTec, Principals of other Institutions, distinguished guests, alumni, faculty members, staff and students were also present on the occasion.

 ‘Nirmaan2k18’ witnessed participation from over 1200 students with display of 150 working models in field of energy, Swach Bharat Mission, Agriculture, Mobile applications, Mechatronics, Smart city etc in over 13 categories.  Over 50 teams participated from outside the state. Students actively participated displaying conceptual working models with their talent and creativity demonstrating skills and knowledge acquired.

Working models of Humanoid, Code based cloud computing with privacy preserving, Approach to traffic control operations, Regenerative electrical cycle,  Seat shifting mechanism with additional safety feature, Swach Bharat Model for cleanliness, Regenerating electrical bicycle, Smart Wheel Chair for differently abled, Seed planting gadgets, Principles of Flexography printing, Automatic railway gate crossing system with electrification, electrostatic dust precipitator, Tools for visually impaired people etc attracted students, guests and invitees.
