Suspected militants attacked a senior police officer's cavalcade in south Kashmir's Shopian district on Saturday. No loss of life and property has been reported.
According to a police official, the militants fired at the cavalcade of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) AS Dinkar in Harmain area of the district. He added that the fire was retaliated by police personnel, forcing the militants to flee.
As per reports, the area has been cordoned off for searches.
