Raj Thackeray meets Sharad Pawar

In a significant political development, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President, Raj Thackeray on Saturday met former Union Agriculture Minister and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar in Mumbai.
Thackeray drove to the Silver Oak residence of Pawar and met him for nearly 45 minutes. It was a closed-door meeting and details of the meeting is not yet known, however, since it comes on the eve of Gudi Padwa – it is being described as a courtesy call.
The pre-Gudi Padwa meeting comes close on the heels of the February 21 interview conducted by Thackeray at a function in Pune organised by the Jagtik Marathi Academy.
