Monster.com ties up with INPA for 2nd career pursuits of retired Navy veterans

Placement Agency (INPA) and portal Monster have entered into an exclusive partnership to power the second career pursuits of retired veterans.

Both the entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect.

Monster aims to list more than 1,000 job opportunities for the talent in the first 12 months in India, and and has a target of increasing this number to 2,000 opportunities by 2020, said in a release.

The partnership will focus on identifying opportunities in sectors such as capital goods, IT, security, ITeS and MSMEs for the uniquely-skilled talent pool of

"We aim to assist retired veterans with customised job opportunities in accordance with their skill set. Moreover, Monster will regularly provide the candidates with job fairs, interview etiquette tips, career recommendations and actively tagging job seekers on its various platforms," said Abhijeet Mukherjee, CEO, (APAC & Middle East).

The pool consists of around 8,800 candidates across ranks, of which, majority are graduates and post-graduates and possess engineering and professional degrees such as MBA and LLB. The candidates are tech-savvy and their exposure to foreign navies and cities equip them with relevant skills for the corporate world.
