has confirmed he and his writing partner are working on a script for the next James Bond movie, the 25th instalment in the British espionage franchise.
Asked whether there was any truth to speculation, Danny confirmed he and his long-time collaborator, the screenwriter John Hodge, were thrashing out a screenplay.
He's hoping to shoot another movie in the next few months, and start filming Bond at the end of the year.
In February it was reported that the 61-year-old 'Slumdog Millionaire' director was at the top of Bond bosses' wish list to direct the forthcoming film, which is widely believed to be Daniel Craig's last as the super spy.
The British filmmaker has already directed Daniel as Bond once before, when they filmed a skit which also featured Queen Elizabeth II for the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony.
