Chennai: Police sources said two sovereigns were seized from the accused, who was identified as V Aravindan of Padalam. Police said that V Sriramalu (55) of Perambur, went out for work after locking his house. When he returned, the door was broken open and valuables were missing. Based on his complaint, police were searching the burglar and nabbed Aravindan during a vehicle check near Perambur railway station, said sources.
