Bodies of two terrorists were recovered from the site of a gunfight between security forces and militants in Khonmoh area on the outskirts of Srinagar, said Jammu and Kashmir Police.
During the initial firing, a CRPF personnel sustained bullet injuries and was shifted to 92 Base Hospital for treatment, police said adding that the jawan's state is currently stable.
After following leads, security forces cordoned off a cluster of houses at Balhama of Khonmoh area, wherein the hiding militants fired upon the forces.
"Two dead bodies of militants have been recovered so far, whose identities are being ascertained," said a police official.
"Along with the dead bodies incriminating materials which include weapon and ammunition have been recovered as well," he added.
In connection with this incident, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and an investigation has been initiated.
