The budget session of the Delhi Assembly began with the address of Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Friday.

In his address, Mr Baijal said, the City government has focused on strengthening and modernizing the education system for development of human resources.

He said, educational infrastructure has been enhanced by making over six thousand additional classrooms functional in the existing schools.

The governor said, Delhi government has successfully implemented the GST and Department of Trade and Taxes has integrated 75 per cent of its existing dealers on the GST platform.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will present the Budget on the 22nd of this month. The session will continue till 28th of this month.
