Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, the government has received tremendous support in its efforts to curb the black money and fight against corruption.
Speaking at a function in New Delhi organised by a private TV channel, Mr Modi said, the government succeeded in taking bold steps and executed them due to the support and inspiration of the citizens.
He said, people have made digital payment a strong weapon for themselves. Mr Modi said, there is a transformational shift in India because of citizens and their will to dream.
The Prime Minister said, in his opinion the rising India means rising the confidence of 125 crore people of the country. He said, rising India evokes the thought of light through darkness. He said, at present, the citizens lead and government follows.
Prime Minister envisages the role of Northeast India towards Rising India. Mr Modi said, Swachh Bharat Mission has now become people's movement. The Prime Minister also highlighted the Ujjwala scheme which has changed the lives of crores of people.
The Prime Minister said, the aim of the government is to make health care affordable and accessible for all. He said, in this year budget, the government has announced the Ayushman Bharat Scheme under which wellness centre will be set-up and a medical insurance coverage of 5 lakh rupees will be provided to 10 crore families.
