Uttar Pradesh police to design a software for on-line service or many public utility services

The state government is trying to facilitate the people with on-line permission facilities for many public utility services including verification of servants, character certificate etc. Uttar Pradesh police is working to design a software on the above and very soon the on-line service will be started in the State. 

Revealing about the above, principal secretary (Home), Arvind Kumar claimed that initially the said on-line services would have half a dozen different verification facilities for which a common man had to take several round of the police stations to get it done. He said that they also fixed the rate of each on-line verification facilities which will be launched under the CCTNS scheme of connecting all the police stations of the country through on-line.

Sources said that except for lost and found information, if any other complaint was made on this on-line portal, then one has to make no payment for the services. To file a complaint through Jan-Suvidha Kendra, once has to pay Rs 15 per complaint. For Character Certificate Application or No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for any vehicle (for transfer of vehicle/ registration/shifting the vehicle to any other state etc, one has to pay Rs 50 for each service. Similarly for tenant, servant or for any other person’s verification, the fees will be also Rs 50 per verification. This payment could be made through debit, credit cards, net banking, or another form of digital transfer of money and if the same has been made through Jan Suvidha Kendra than an additional of Rs 15 should be made. Later under the stipulated time fixed for each services, the applicant will received a certified copy of the certificate also on his mail or mobile numbers. The entire monitoring of the said facilities will be made by the Director General of Police office. Sources said that the service will be soon launched in the state. 

Meanwhile an official communiqué of the DGP office confirmed that Close Circuit Televisions (CCTVs) on the entrance and office of 1048 police stations of the state has been already made operational by the government. The communiqué confirmed that in the first phase, 262 CCTVs and 786 CCTVs in the second phase has been already installed and now in the third phase, 477 more police stations will be equipped with CCTV facilities.  DGP OP Singh, issued directions that incharges of police stations would be made day to day entry into their general dairies (GD) that the CCTVs were functioning properly and the entire proceedings should be also recorded. If CCTVs were found to be non-functional, then the nodal officers should be immediately informed of the same. Senior police officers will also make surprise inspections and ensure that the CCTVs were functioning properly or not. Singh also directed that the officers much check whether proper treatment and response have been given to each visitor or not and in case any negligence was found on the CCTVs, immediate action should be taken against the official concerned. He claimed that monitoring of activities of the cops on CCTVs would definitely improve the behaviour of the cops towards the common public.
