The New York International Auto Show gets underway in less than two weeks, and automakers are busy teasing the models ahead of their official reveals. Today Lincoln released a firstsneak peek video of its new Aviator SUV.
The Aviator is the first of two videos the luxury brand will introduce by 2020. They figure to be cornerstones of the company's product line for next several years, doubly so because the company has struggled to progess in the segments it competes in.
The pending demise of the MKZ sedan is a clear exemple of the company's shift in direction. Wisely, the automaker has decided to throw its lot in with SUVs, a sgement that continues to explode in popularity.
In this early video of the Aviator, little is actually revealed about the new model. The Lincoln letters are discernable on a part of the chassis, and the Aviator name is inserted similarlyto what you see on the Continental sedan. The brand insignia is also prominent at the heart of the front grille.
Lincoln is promising a very close-to-production version of the Aviator for the presentation at the New York auto show on March 28.
