2 Nigerians held with narcotics

PANAJI: Two Nigerian nationals have been arrested by the crime branch of Goa police for alleged illegal possession of narcotic substances worth Rs 35,000. The accused have been remanded in five-day police custody.

Police caught Victor Izuchukwu alias Yaya Kofi Nami and Ajah Johan Ejke, both residents of Parra, red-handed with 3.67g of cocaine and 50g of ganja near Shantadurga temple in Parra.


Police said that they had information that two persons would come to Parra to deliver the consignment to a prospective customer. The Nigerians were arrested as soon as they arrived at the spot and were later produced before the court, police said.
