Bhandari congratulated on being elected president

Presidents of India, China and Bangladesh have congratulated President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on being re-elected the head of state of Nepal.

Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, in his message of felicitations, expressed confidence that under President Bhandari’s wise guidance, Nepal would move forward on the path of prosperity and all-round development. He has also mentioned that India attaches highest priority to advancing its close and multifaceted partnership with Nepal, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Chinese President Xi Jinping also congratulated President Bhandari on her re-election. In the congratulatory message, President Xi said China attached great importance to the development of China-Nepal relations and expressed his readiness to work together to promote bilateral relationship.

Similarly, Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid, in a message of congratulations, reiterated the high importance that Bangladesh attached to its relations with Nepal and expressed commitment to working closely to further strengthening relationship.
