 Aam Aadmi Party MP, Bhagwant Mann has decided to resign from the post of party’s Punjab Chief.
In a tweet, Mr. Mann said he is resigning as a president of AAP Punjab unit but his fight against drug mafia and all kinds of corruption in Punjab will continue as an Aam Aadmi' of Punjab.
His decision came a day after Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal tendered apology to former Punjab Minister Bikram Singh Majithia for leveling unfounded allegations relating to his involvement in drugs trade.
In May 2016, Mr. Majithia had filed a criminal defamation case against Mr. Kejriwal and other AAP leaders who had made allegations against him.
