The 38th NIPM Foundation Day was observed by NIPM, Ranchi Chapter at Vichar Manch, Darbhanga House, CCL on Thursday. The programme was presided over by Director (Personnel), CCL & President (NIPM & ISTD), Ranchi Chapter R S Mahapatro. NIPM was established on 15th March, 1980 by merger of two organisation i.e. Indian Institute of Personnel Management (IIPM) and National Institute of Labour Management (NILM). A team of Management Trainee (HR/P) presented a power presentation on “Labour Code on Industrial Relations Bill” which is to be tabled in parliament.
Speaking on the occasion, Director (Personnel) CCL and President of NIPM & ISTD, Ranchi Chapter said that it is,infact, a great moment for us. NIPM has come a long way and now it is not only in India but also in different parts of the world. He congratulated ever one for making the Ranchi Chapter as one of the most active chapters. However, NIPM has enormous potential and we, as a member, need to work hard to grow both quantitatively and qualitatively, Mahapatro added.
Congratulating the present members U K Choubey, Ex- Director (P) Coal India said that under the chairmanship of R S Mahapatro, NIPM, Ranchi Chapter has become one of the most active chapters and has created a name for itself. He threw light on the history of NIPM.
He asked the members to ensure that NIPM should grow in terms of not only members/chapters but also in terms of HR activities.
During the session, team of Management Trainee (HR/P) comprising Astha, Supriya Bharti, Md Tauqir Alam and Biplab Das gave a detailed presentation on “Labour Code on Industrial Relations Bill”. The young team gave a detailed outlook of the bill and discussed the main points of the bill. He explained the difference between the existing law and the proposed bill and its importance in the present context. The members found the session very interactive.
During the meet, G D Gulab, Ex- Director (P) MCL, T R Naik, Regional Commissioner, CMPFO, Vijay Prasad. Assistant Commissioner, CMPFO, also congratulated the members on the occasion. Member Officers from CCL, HEC, CMPDIL etc attended the session. Gopal Prasad, GM (Vigilance) delivered the welcome address in the session and vote of thanks was given by Uday Prakash, GM (P), CCL.
