‘Could This Be Australia’s Next Must Have Travel Item?’
Australian companies Stayzon and Fresche Bioscience freschegroup have collaborated to develop the world’s first wet wipe product which delivers 24-hour antibacterial protection on human hands, and seven-day active protection on hard surfaces – with a single application.
“This is a ground-breaking advancement in personal hygiene, which we expect to appeal to travellers, families, health and medical administrators – those coming into frequent contact with high volume traffic areas such as long haul travel, public transport and shared facilities,” said Chris Plastow, CEO of Stayzon.
“Unlike other products already on the market, which are currently attracting media attention regarding short duration effects – in some cases estimated to have a 20 minute effect STAYZON provides an active barrier, proven effective for up to seven days on hard surfaces and 24 hours on human hands.
“We are excited to be launching this product right here in Australia. To our knowledge no other similar product exists anywhere in the world. STAYZON is the result of an Australian collaboration to produce a wet wipe capable of eradicating 99.99% of germs and bacteria with long lasting effects for extended periods of time,” Mr Plastow added.
“Hand health and surface Hygiene is critically important in the prevention of spread of disease both in home and commercial environments and especially in the highly mobile travel and hospitality industries,” he said.
“Our focus has been to develop a convenient and revolutionary consumer product which offers long-lasting protection. With our partners we have combined independent testing, ground-breaking science and technology and consumer preference for an enduring, antibacterial shield intended for everyday use and applied via a simple wet wipe,” he said.
To develop the new wet-wipe product, Stayzon partnered with Australian based Fresche Bioscience, leaders in development of advanced molecular compounds relating to microbial control.
Based on Lysis technology, Stayzon™ Skin & Surface 3 in 1 wipe delivers a long acting antibacterial shield for up to 24 hours on skin, and 7 days on any surface.
“As well as its appeal as a personal hygiene product, we believe Stayzon™ Skin & Surface wipe is likely to be of significant benefit to the health care sector. Our partners Fresche Bioscience have gained TGA approval for several of their advanced alcohol free formulations”, he added.
Stayzon™ Skin & Surface 3 in 1 wipe is expected to be available in Australian retail stores as early as August 2018. The company is currently in discussions with several major retailers and pharmacies in Australia and Asia.
In 2017 the company successfully launched its first Stayzon™ Skin spray stayzon.com.au , an antimicrobial hand sanitizer, distributed via Woolworths stores.
“The launch coincided with the outbreak of Australia’s largest ever flu epidemic and sales soared as Australians recognized the benefit of long lasting, advanced protection compared to traditional alcohol based sanitisers,” Mr Plastow said.
